Frenchman Street is in walking distance of Bourbon Street, but it has a really different vibe. It’s where locals go to listen to jazz, Latin, blues, and reggae. It’s also the place they go for Dat Dog—named the best hot dog place in Louisiana. Go ahead and go a little crazy; in addition to the usual choices, you can get turducken, alligator, and crawfish dogs.
